The picturesque village of Nether Wallop was used as a setting for St Mary Mead in the “Miss Marple” TV series with Joan Hickson. The village pub is 3 minutes’ drive and there are many excellent pubs and restaurants in Stockbridge (10 minutes’ drive) and surrounding villages. Equidistant from the Cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury, and within easy reach of Stonehenge, this is an ideal base for exploring southern England and is also a convenient stop-over for touring the West Country.
