Welcome to Fizzy Fish Nursery and Pre-School
Flexible childcare for children aged 0-5 years across two settings.

We are an independent childcare business in the West Blatchington area of Hove, owned by Karen Fothergill (formerly of Safe and Sound and Play and Learn Daycare) and Lou Adams (formerly of Fizzy Fish Childcare and Little Gulls and Buoys). We consist of two settings and offer high quality flexible childcare for working parents.

Our younger setting specialises in childcare for children aged 0-3 years and our Pre-School cares for the 3 & 4 year olds.

Karen, Lou and all our staff regularly attend courses and we participate in the Quality Improvement in Learning and Teaching (QuILT), a quality assurance scheme. This ensures that we continually evaluate and improve our practice in all areas of our service.

Karen and Lou believe that they should continue to develop their skills and knowledge in childcare as well as ensure that staff are attending not only the mandatory courses but courses in which they have a real passion. We are not just about childcare but ensuring that our staff love their career choice as much as we do. We believe in our staff and want to support them with career progression. The greater their knowledge the better they will be able to care for and help your child develop and be pre-school ready from our first setting and be school ready from our second setting.

We are supported and monitored by Brighton and Hove City Council’s City Early Years Childcare department.
