OvenGleamers was founded by Graham Rogers in April 2004. Graham started with just himself in one van. He cleaned is first two ovens on the 19th April 2004 in Wellington Somerset. A week later he cleaned his first AGA cooker. A month later he met Catherine who was in the Royal Air Force at the time, as a Navigator. Training navigators to navigate the Hercules C130. Within a year they were married.
Graham was looking for a way to expand his cleaning business which he had started in 2002. He had renovated his Regency house in Taunton, Somerset and one of the things he put into a new AGA bought from Spillers of Chard.
It was when an engineer from Spillers of Chard was doing it’s first service in 2003 that Graham had a conversation with him and he learnt about the size of the AGA market in the South West. Graham decided then to start a range cooker /AGA Cleaning company.
He found the best AGA cleaning company in the UK at the time and get them to train him. He bought himself a new van and called his company ‘OvenGleam’. OvenGleam cleaned all sizes of ovens but became experts in range cookers and AGA cookers.
At first he had problems finding customers but soon learned how to use internet marketing to get new clients. OvenGleam grew fast with Catherine’s help answering the numerous calls generated. Within three years the company had five vans, with four employees and Graham out cleaning everyday.
Graham moved to Calne in Wiltshire where Catherine lived. And later they both moved to Clevedon in North Somerset. Then in 2007 they moved to Pill in North Somerset. They are still located there.
The OvenGleamers office (OvenGleam rebranded in 2011 just after the business started franchising) in situated right in the centre of the village in the shopping precinct.
